It's all about the compelling story and the emotional heartwarming moments. In Pixar, the craftsmanship or the animation doesn't quite matter. Watching the car fighting scenes is like watching a kid playing his little toy cars and let them do something fun. The score is a bit generic that you may hear in any movie or television show. John Lasseter knows what to do in this movie. Don't worry about the humor, that is one thing they will never fail. The movie still has a heart but it fails to be compelling. The missing Pixar element here is the heartwarming moments. If the movie gets focused to the plot, the kids might get bored. There are too many action that any kid can enjoy but the story is probably too interesting for grown ups. The theme of the film is Espionage but it's just some sort of an animated version of a particular spy movie. Cars 2 is pretty fun but the most important ingredient of their movies is missing. The story isn't bad except it doesn't give anything emotional and heartwarming unlike the other Pixar movies. Instead of Western Themes, it's Spy movies. The kids will enjoy it but the rest is like Rango. It's not really bad but it's just unnecessary. Cars 2 feels like it's a direct-to-DVD film. The saddest thing about Pixar today is, they don't know what movie they are going to release on their 25th Anniversary since one of their upcoming projects "Newt" was cancelled despite from Blue Sky's Rio plot. However, they still looks like Jeff and Lewis. Mochanych (Lewis Hamilton) voiced by Oleksiy Mochanov Sheva (Jeff Gorvett) voiced by Andriy Shevchenko In Ukrainian release both Jeff Gorvett and Lewis Hamilton renamed after their voice actors: Raoul ÇaRoule some French releases (Also appear in other releases, but don't appear at this scene) Sebastian Schnell voiced by Sebastian Vettel German release (Also appear in other releases, but voiced by other voice actor, called Max Schnell, and don't appear at this scene)Ĭarla Veloso voiced by Claudia Leitte Brazilian release (Also appear in other releases, but voiced by other voice actor and don't appear at this scene) Long Ge Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese versions, however, not Taiwan) release Jan Nilsson voiced by Jan Nilsson Swedish release Vitaly Petrov voiced by Vitaly Petrov Russian release These include:įrosty voiced by Mark Winterbottom Australian releaseįernando Alonso voiced by Fernando Alonso Spanish release Most of these characters use the same body shape as Max Schnell. They don't replace him in the races or when the racers are shocked at Mater drinking from the water fountain after eating a lot of wasabi. However, they only replace him in the scene where Lightning meets him at the party in Tokyo as well as when that scene appears in Mater's nightmare. In international versions of Cars 2, Jeff Gorvette is replaced in World Grand Prix welcome party in Tokyo by a completely different character, voiced by a regionally better known racer than Jeff Gordon.
